Professional Growth and Leadership

Use of Blogs

Blogs are a great way for teachers to contribute to their profession.  Blogs can be used to communicate effective use of digital resources as well as the teaching and learning resources used in the classroom.  Successes as well as challenges can be communicated.  This contribution is made on a local and global scale.  Teachers can invite the local community on to their blogs to comment on such practices and in so doing communicate their use of digital resources to not only the school but also the school community.

Here are some of the top blogs established by educators, click on their images to go to each blog.  It’s easy to see how these teachers are demonstrating their own Professional Growth as well as establishing themselves as leaders in their respective fields.  What do you think?

How do you feel about creating your own blog?  Leave a comment.  Post a link to the blogs you follow and have found really useful.
